What is a Neuromodulator?
Botulinum Toxin A is a neuromodulator that temporarily reduces or eliminates facial fine lines and wrinkles. Commonly treated areas are frown lines, forehead creases, and crow’s feet. Neurotoxins last approximately 3 months. When the effect begins to fade, the muscle action and wrinkle appearance will return. Because of this temporary effect, maintenance is required to maintain results.
The areas to be treated are customized based on your consultation. Your uniques facial features, the extent of your wrinkles, and strength of your muscles determine the dosing. Crow’s feet usually require 4-12 units on each side. Furrows above the brow could take 12-20 units or more. Our expertise in facial anatomy will ensure beautiful results.
A very tiny needle is used during the injection process. Ice or numbing cream can be applied for your comfort.
